If you contact technical support, you may be asked to set up the METAmessage debug mode in order to pinpoint your problem. Debug mode adds a considerable amount of information to the log files.

To start debug mode, select Include debug and message information on the console Control tab in the Log file options group.

The log data will be available in the \METAmessage\SharedDir\Logs and \METAmessage\SharedDir\Activity folders.

To control the volume of log files that are created when MCS is in this mode, click Settings on the console Control tab in the Control options group. The Cleanup options group in this dialog will let you set the number of days to keep Log and Activity files as well as let you schedule file deletion.

To schedule file deletion:

1. In the Control options on the console Control tab, click Settings.
2. Click Schedule Cleanup. Make sure the MCS domain user account appears in the Run as: field.
3. Click Set Password and enter the MCS domain user account password. Schedule Cleanup will not run unless you set this password.
