Archive PIN/SMS messaging
Administrators in sensitive sectors often disable PIN-to-PIN messaging due to regulations requiring that all messages such as email be recorded or archived. In these cases, handhelds would be unused in an emergency if the email server or other network infrastructure were down.
METAmessage lets administrators archive PIN-to-PIN/SMS messages as a default protocol under normal conditions, so that in an emergency, the feature is enabled and handhelds are available for emergency communications.
This feature can also archive BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) messages.

Spell check outgoing messages

Now, you can spell check outgoing messages on your handheld as easily as you spell check on your desktop PC.
METAmessage spell checking lets you:
- Scroll directly to questionable words
- Replace misspelled words from a suggestion list
- Edit replacement text
- Add words to a personal or custom dictionary
American English, British English, Dutch, French, Italian, German, and Spanish dictionaries are available.
Spell checking is available in both device-based and server-based versions. The device-based version stores a dictionary on your handheld, and you can add words not in the dictionary to a personal wordlist. The server-based version uses a dictionary on the METAmessage server, and that dictionary can include words specific to your industry or corporation. For example, a pharmaceutical company can maintain a custom dictionary that includes chemical compounds and technical terms.
